°The Constitution of Room 207™

Article I: The Legislative Branch
Section 1: Number of Representatives
3 people shall make the laws of this country.

Section 2: Selection of Representatives
The legislators will be selected by the citizens of Room 207

Section 3: Term of Service
Legislators shall serve a term of 1 month years.

Section 4: Age and Citizenship
In order to serve in the legislature, a person must be at least 13 years old. He/she must have been attending Burdick for at least 4 months.

Citizenship Requirements:

Section 5: Representation of States
Each row will send the same amount of legislators.

Section 6: Impeachment of the President
At least 2/3 of the legislators must vote yes to impeach.

Section 7: Salary of Legislators
Legislators shall be paid the sum of 1 homework pass per year.

Section 8: Legislative Quoram
The sum of 2 legislators legislators must vote in favor of a "bill" before it becomes law.

Section 9: Involvement of the president in the making of laws
The president should be able to vote if the law becomes a law.


ARTICLE II: THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH
Section 1: Length and Limits of Presidential Term
2 months

Section 2: Selection of the President
The citizens of 207 will vote for their president.

Section 3: Eligibility for Presidency
13. He/she must have been attending Burdick for at least 1 school year.

Section 4: Presidential Salary
The President shall be paid the sum of 2 homework passes per year.


ARTICLE III: THE JUDICIAL BRANCH
Section 1: Selection and Appointment of Judges
The judges will recommended by the president and the congress and he people will vote off who they want as judges.

Section 2: Term of Judicial Service
A judge can only serve 1 term every time they get elected. The judge can run in the next election though.


ARTICLE IV: ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS
Section 1: The Extradition of Those Accused of a Crime
A criminal should be put on trial in the row where he/she committed the crime.

Section 2: Changes and Amendments to the Constitution
Changes or additions are allowed to the constitution.

Section 3: Military Intervention in State Matters
Other rows can send some soldiers when trouble breaks out in any row.

Section 4: Ability of State to Disagree with Constitutional Matters
No row is allowed to pass laws against the constitution.

Section 5: Bill of Rights
Everyone has a right to freedom of speech
All citizens have a right to freedom of religion.
All citizens have a right to freedom of the press
All citizens have the right to protest against any government decisions.
Section 6: Double Jeopardy
If new evidence is found the criminal has to go back on trial.

Section 7: Rights Regarding Self Incrimination
A person on trial must answer all the questions asked truthfully.

Section 8: Government Rights to Private Land
The government is forbidden from taking anyone's land under any circumstances.

Section 9: Bail and Fines
Certain rules must be followed on setting bail.

Section 10: Income Taxes
The congress does not have the right to pass laws requiring people to pay income taxes.

Section 11: Age of Voting Eligibility
Citizens shall be able to vote at the at the age of 13 .

The congress is only allowed to declare war
